Silk Print(Screen print)
Screen printing is a printing technique whereby a mesh is used to transfer ink onto a substrate, except in areas made impermeable to the ink by a blocking stencil. A blade or squeegee is moved across the screen to fill the open mesh apertures with ink, and a reverse stroke then causes the screen to touch the substrate momentarily along a line of contact. This causes the ink to wet the substrate and be pulled out of the mesh apertures as the screen springs back after the blade has passed.
Suit material: non woven, cotton and jute.
Advantage: Silk screen printing equipment is simple, easy to operate, printing and plate-making is simple and have low cost.
Disadvantage: Can not print complex image; if the there have more than 5 colors on your logo, it is hard to let the ink print on the correct place.
Offset printing is a commonly used printing technique in which the inked image is transferred (or "offset") from a plate to a rubber blanket, then to the printing surface. When used in combination with the lithographic process, which is based on the repulsion of oil and water, the offset technique employs a flat (planographic) image carrier on which the image to be printed obtains ink from ink rollers, while the non-printing area attracts a water-based film (called "fountain solution"), keeping the non-printing areas ink-free. The modern "web" process feeds a large reel of paper through a large press machine in several parts, typically for several metres, which then prints continuously as the paper is fed through.
Suit material: non woven, cotton and jute,paper Advantage: Offset printing can print complex image into the material.
Disadvantage: Takes at least 5 days to make plate; each time print will charged you $250 print charge, even if just make sample;
Transfer printing is a method of moving a premade image from one location to another. This process was originally used to move images from metal or ceramic plates to pottery, But now awe can use specialty paper and will transfer to many material. The basic process has ink applied to a specialty surface; that surface is pressed against the printable object, which transfers the ink. Heat is then applied to the newly inked area and the image becomes permanent. This process is similar to screen printing.
Early forms of transfer printing were used to create the appearance of hand-painted pottery while taking less work. The problem with this is the shape of the pottery’s surface. The curves on a specific piece were difficult to work with, but making a system that would accommodate any shape was even more difficult.
Suit for Judit, non woven, cotton, nylon material
Advantage: Can print complex image on the material; The print charge is cheaper than offset print and lamination for small quality.
Disadvantage: Can not suit for laminated material because of the high temperature of the print progress; the print charge is base on print area, bigger print area need higher print charge; Will charged you 100dollars for sample charge.
Lamination is a kind of surface finishing technology after printing. In the first we carving your image into plates then put them into print machine to print the image on the thickness film, then use laminating machine to covering a layer of 0.012 ~ 0.020mm thick transparent plastic film in the surface. There have matt lamination and glossy lamination two style.
Suit for non woven, PP woven material.
Advantage: Can print complex image into the material, out side film is waterproof and much more stronger.
Disadvantage: Carving the plates takes at least 5 days, so the sample time is at least 8days; the plate making charge is according to the bag size, more big size more expensive; the print charge need 150dollars each time, even if just print a sample;(plate making charge and print charge will be refundable when quality reach 100,000pcs)
